On probably the toughest par 3 at Franklin Canyon, Joan's playing partners watched as she hit a nice tee shot that went directly toward the center of the green. Since it was an elevated green, nobody could see just where it landed. As they approached the green, her ball was nowhere to be seen. Everyone looked around to try to find it, thinking it rolled off the back of the green. As one player went to mark a ball already on the green, he peeked into the hole and asked, "Joan, what kind of ball are you playing?" Her answer was a Titleist 2. With a giant grin, her partner shouted, "It's in the hole!" What a great shot, Joan. Congratulations.
