Jesse Tamez pretty much took the day with a great round of 79/net 70, long drive and a closest to the pin on hole 12 to capture
the 2009 Gold Cup Championship at Seascape Golf Course. Jesse's low net was matched by Tony Cruz with Jesse winning the
tie-breaker leaving Tony as the tournament Runner-Up. Tony also won a closest to the pin on hole 14. Other closest to the pin winners were
Reico Cruz, Justin Collins and Will Hoppner. Chris Hawkes had some outstanding saves to win Fewest Putts with 29. Playing partner
Amedeo Cappione was Runner-Up for fewest putts. Other winners were Paul Bove, Second Runner-Up and Amedeo, Third Runner-Up for low net. The
weather was a little chilly and the greens were a challenge on top of the course management getting us started over an hour late, but we still managed to have
a good golf outing and enjoy some good company.
