Callippe Preserve lived up to its reputation, especially the 18th hole, and gave this year's
field a tough challenge. John Kranich put together one of the few rounds under net par to
take the Gold Cup Championship with A Flight honors going to Chris Hawkes and B Flight to Eric Giles.
Runners-up were Chris Tamez for A Flight and Ted Hammam for B Flight. Ted also won Fewest Putts for B Flight
and Longest Putt. Dan Sutter won Fewest Putts for the A Flight. Closest To The Pin winners were
John Kranich, John Legois and John Abate with two. John Abate's tee shot on the 16th hole was tracking directly to
the hole and the crowd watching started cheering for it to drop in. Unfortunately it stopped a few inches short
but still gave everyone a thrill for a few seconds. Eric Giles blasted a 295 yard tee shot on the 3rd hole to win the Long Drive
prize. The course was in great shape and the weather was just about perfect making this Patriot's Day match a
fun and challenging tournament.
Congratulations to all!
