With almost no wind and absolutely beautiful weather, Pacific Grove played host to this year's Green Cup.
Although the greens were lightning fast, some great scores were posted as Mike Beesley took the Tournament Low Net
with a net 65. Closely behind him with net 66s were Loree McQueen and Jesse Tamez. Loree took A Flight Low Net in
the tie-breaker and Jesse took Runner-Up.
B Flight Low net went to Pat Harlow as he won the tie-breaker with Scott Hunter taking Runner-Up.
Closest To The Pin honors went to Dan Sutter, Joan Ross, Mike Beesley and Jesse Tamez. Women's Long drive went to
Loree McQueen while John Abate won it for the men. Steven Harlow won Fewest Putts for the A Flight with an amazing 26 putts while
John Legois won it for the B Flight with 30. Earl Hale curled in a 14 footer on the 18th green to win Longest Putt.
We awarded gift certificates for four other low net players in each flight. A Flight included Reico Cruz, Dan Sutter, Steven Harlow,
and John Abate. B Flight included Ted Hammam, John Kranich, Joan Ross, and Earl Hale. So we had a great day of golf and awarded
lots of prizes. Everything turned out so well, we booked the course again for 2012. Forget that Mayan Calendar thing!
