It was wonderful to see the sun again after all the rain we have been having and Pacific Grove was in pretty good
condition to challenge the field in this year's Green Cup. Loree McQueen fired a net 71 to win the championship and
dazzled everyone with her putting, taking Fewest Putts with only 27. Eric Giles was the other big winner, taking Closest To The
Pin honors on holes 1 and 10 and also winning Men's Long Drive. John Legois won the other Closest To The Pin on hole 17. Joan Ross
took the Ladies' Long Drive. There were ties for Low Net for each flight with John Abate winning the tie-breaker
over Reico Cruz for the A Flight and Ted Hammam winning the tie-breaker over Eric Giles for the B Flight. In the Team Low
Net game, Team McQueen won Low Net while Team Sutter took runner-up. As the day progressed, the winds kicked up and provided
quite the show as large waves pounded the shore, making this an unforgettable experience once again.
