Scott Hunter did it again! He won his second consecutive tournament by capturing
the 2008 Green Cup with a net 66. His steady play proved to be the necessary ingredient
to top a field of 24 players. He also won men's long drive, so you know he was
hitting the ball well. John Abate won tournament low gross with a 79 after taking an eight
on two holes but recovering with four birdies and an eagle. Low net for the A Flight
went to Reico Cruz and low gross went to Jesse Tamez. Low net for the B Flight went to Earl Hale
while low gross went to Arun Kamboj. Jeff Miller won the fewest putts contest in a
tie-breaker with Loree McQueen. John Abate's eagle putt of 20 feet on hole 18 won the longest putt
contest. Our second chance winners were Elizabeth Barnard and Amedeo Cappione. The closest to the
pin winners were John Abate, Elisa Hoppner, Earl Hale, Reico Cruz, and Jesse Tamez. Great shooting!
The weather was very nice and the course was in great shape making this a really enjoyable tournament.
