With the weather barely hanging on and the winds increasing as the day went on,
Poppy Hills provided quite the challenge for this year's Masters Tournament.
But in the end, Johnny Chavez prevailed as he fired a net 70 to take the championship.
The next best were all net 74s with Jesse Tamez taking A Flight Low Net over Bill Alston
in a tie-breaker leaving Bill with A Flight Runner-Up. The B Flight also tied at 74 between
Vic Hageman and John Kranich with Vic winning the tie-breaker. The Closest-To-The-Pin winners
were scattered around with nobody winning more than one. The winners were Earl Hale,
Mike Beesley, Justin Collins, Rube Tamez and Bill Alston. Long Drive honors for the men
went to Vic Hageman while Loree McQueen took it for the ladies. Tony Cruz had the hot putter taking both
Long Putt and Fewest Putts. Dispite the weather, everyone had a good time and enjoyed some time together in the
club house watching that other Masters while groups finished and scoring was completed.
Great job everyone.
