The weather turned warm after quite a cold spell and the WCGA golfers got hot!
Arun Kamboj fired a net 63 to win the 2008 Masters Tournament at San Jose Muni.
His score was equaled by Jesse Tamez's but Arun took it in a scorecard tie breaker.
Jesse's efforts didn't go to waste, though, as he took tournament low gross
with a 73 - nice shooting Jesse! Jesse's four birdies also won him some
serious skins money! Our A Flight low net went to Krispal Matharu while low
gross went to Tony Cruz. B Flight low net went to Jeff Miller and low gross went to Ted Hammam.
Scoring was great across the board with lots of low numbers despite the bumpy greens.
Men's long drive went to Tony Matharu and women's went to Loree McQueen. Fewest putts
went to Jesse Tamez (little wonder since he had four birdies) and longest putt went to John Abate.
The closest to the pin winners were John Abate, Ted Hammam, Jeff Miller and Arun Kamboj.
This tournament brought us yet another first time winner. We like spreading those nice trophies around.
