We managed to stay ahead of the incoming rain and actually have reasonable weather for this year's May
Day Classic at Spring Valley. Pat Harlow shot a net 67 to clobber the rest of the field and win the
tournament. He also had a Closest to the Pin and Long Putt for a pretty good day for both trophy and cash.
John Abate won Low Net for the A Flight and Chris Jensen won it for the B Flight. Other Closest to the Pin winners were
Jesse Tamez for holes 2 and 4, Dan Sutter for hole 7 and Chris Jensen for hole 11. Men's Long Drive went to Justin Collins
with a bomb of over 300 yards while Loree McQueen took it for the Ladies. Putting was tough on the very fast and unpredictable greens
and John Abate won Fewest Putts with 32. We also awarded the Match Play Trophy to Dan Sutter after his winning effort against
Reico Cruz in the finals.
