On a day when the weather was beautiful and the course played tough, Ted Hammam fired
a net 71 to capture this year's WCGA Cup. Chris Hawkes shot a net 74 to take Tournament Runner-Up.
The fairways weren't as good as Pajaro has had in the past
making some of the lies pretty difficult. And the greens were lightning fast making putting a
challenge. Low Putts with 30 was won by Ken Polizzi with Ted tying him and loosing the tie-breaker.
Flight winners were John Abate for A Flight and Brooks McLain for B Flight. Runners-Up were Jesse Tamez for
A Flight and Rick McLain for B Flight. Closest-To-The-Pin winners were Ken Polizzi, Tony Cruz,
Chris Hawkes, and Justin Collins. Tony Cruz won the Long Drive and brother Reico Cruz won the Longest Putt.
We also had two matches played during the tournament. In the first, Jesse Tamez (2) defeated Amedeo Cappione (16) 3/2. In the second, Rick McLain (6) defeated son Brooks McLain (12) in 19 holes. Thanks for helping us celebrate the club's birthday with a well-played tournament.
